 Isn't it just lovely what a little paint can do?  I adore amye 123's use of upcycled materials and fabulously happy paint colors.  The little deer props certainly don't hurt the cuteness factor either!

This little cutie is called a "taterpot" because of it's potato shaped pot and funny little legs. They grow one of three tasty herbs – oregano, basil or mint - but I like them just because they make me smile.

So do you think my little one might actually eat if I bought these?  Kinda throws the *don't play with your food* thing right down the disposal though...

A rubber band works just as well but seriously, there is just no comparing the cuteness factor.

This is sold out.  But I couldn't resist. Plus, I'm in the mood for tea.

This modern recycled cardboard astro rocket looks like a super fun craft project.  It ships flat packed with detailed assembly instructions.  Leave them as is or gather up the art supplies and go crazy.  I'm thinking glittery goodness.

Is it becoming strikingly clear that I'm on vacation as things like refrigerators, cookie cutters & bean bags grab start to my attention?

These fatboy junior beanbags are not new on the market but their cool factor has not waned. I'd like one in each color please. Yes, I only have two kids. So?

jingle bells, jingle bells...

We were so inspired by lori marie's lovely glitter bells that we made some of our own. Mind you now, that the creative whimsy of a three & six year old is hard to contain so our bells are not quite as refined as lori's...but oh were they fun to make! Those are hers above. And here...are ours...

dare to dream

I'd like two of these Nelson desks in my great room. I can just picture the two kids, side by side, happily doing their homework while I prepare dinner for the family. (Anyone that really knows me is laughing out loud because the kids are hardly homework age at 2 and 4 and I am a terrible, ok, infrequent cook.) Regardless, at $1799 each I don't see it happening anyway but it's still fun to dream...

Loving my new lanterns that I blogged about here. They are portable and rechargable. Plan on using them inside, outside & in case of emergency. Tonight they are settling in on the dining room table.

Noticed the Magnetter mail & key solution by Umbra in the August Real Simple Magazine. After visiting the Umbra website I stumbled on a few more neat finds shown above including the flybrary bookshelf, the pulp bulletin board, and the wallflower wall decor.

a mad tea (towel) party

Found this on the decor8 blog tonight. The Nicolas Gallery in downtown Cincinnati asked 25 artists to create a unique work of art on a tea towel. What a clever idea which made for what looks like quite a fascinating show. You can see more images from the show here.

I've been a fan of of Nonchalant Mom for just a few months now, and it's one I recommend frequently, but I never really knew much about the brand. Until now. Founder Carina Schott and her husband, Karim Hamid opened their home to domino magazine this month and gee am I glad they did. What a gem.
