handmade halloween

I can't take credit for the darling pre-school class costumes (just the black noses) but how sweet does Zuzu look as a spotted dog?

soft

Thanks to Weezawear for including zuzu girl in her lovely, soft treasury today. Love the purple hue...it's simply scrumptious!

family time

Gage finally received a little zuzu girl love today when I gave him this personalized trinket box...

He was so excited he wanted to know all about how I made it. It was super cute! Now he just has to decide what to put in it...legos...baseball cards...money...hmmmm? I see more trinket boxes in his future...

And I clearly couldn't leave out Zuzu so I personalized this little one just for her...

Also managed to make a few more for the shop.
Will work on getting this listed tonight...

sweet treat

Want to satisfy a sweet tooth without all the calories? Take a peek at these darling new bracelets from Butterfly Gem. She used up-cycled, re-purposed candy wrappers to make these darling bracelets.
Sweet indeed!

And while we're at it...
here are a few of my older favorites from her shop...

zuzu's boxes

By request, we've added trinket boxes to the assortment. What do you think? Still a new craft so I'd love feedback! I'm working on a boys blue & red skull and cross bones box next. Stay tuned...

etsymom supergiveaway

The Etsymom Street Team is prepping for the holidays by taking the time-honored tradition of gift-giving to another level! Riding the wave of unity, harmony and excitement inspired by the Etsymom Trunk Show in September, our team tossed around a few ideas about our next team event. A little idea of having a giveaway, where Moms would donate an item to be given away each day of November on our blog has morphed into a SUPER GIVEAWAY!! When the call for volunteers went out we had an overwhelming response of over 60 shops willing to donate a $10.00 in value item to this cause. Two winners will be randomly chosen everyday to receive one of over 50 prizes.. Donations will range from an assortment of hand embroidery, vintage finds, hair clippies, baby accessories, paper crafts, earthenware pottery and more. Perfect for gift-giving! There is a little bit of everything, so whether you like trendy, shabby chic, traditional or retro styles, you're sure to find something! Don't miss this ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA. Visit us here beginning November 1st for giveaway rules and deadlines!

giggling goldfish

These are just a few of my favorites from a lovely little etsymom shop called giggling goldfish (how cute is that name?). I was so overwhelmed that I actually didn't buy anything because I couldn't make up my mind - yup, me, can you believe it? But you can bet I'll be visiting again soon...

sunday crafts

I managed to finish all six crowns for Goodnite Moon this weekend and even snuck one in for the zuzu girl shop. I adore the colors so much I actually wore it for a few minutes myself while our zuzu was napping!

ooh la la

Look at these lovely blooms I just stumbled upon. They are going to make such fun wands! If only I wasn't knee deep in crown and headband construction this weekend. Stay tuned for the finished product!

welcome!

Welcome to zuzu girl handmade. We think it's quite beautiful here!

We hope to maintain this blog to share new ideas and products from zuzu girl handmade as well as to promote other handmade products from proud EtsyMoms. Buying handmade is good for the community and for the environment and many of these moms are pretty darn talented!

We're busy this weekend building a small assortment for Goodnite Moon, a charming children's boutique (one of our favorites!) in Corte Madera, California. We're excited and a tad nervous to deliver our very first retail order. Wish us luck and we'll be back soon...
